About the Artist | Ryan DeWitt

After working as a digital illustrator, Ryan DeWitt enrolled at the School of Design at North Carolina State University Raleigh to earn a master’s degree in industrial design. Originally from Detroit, he tapped into a cultural shift toward sustainability, the Michigan native decided to up-cycle an old vinyl LP into a bowl—and got rave reviews. Now Ryan puts his ingenuity to work designing housewares and gifts made from out-of-commission vintage records, all brought to life by a small team of fabricators in his Durham workshop.
